Why is it important to have a family photography session?

I’m a family photographer in Beckenham and I realised the importance of having a family photography after having children.  Here some thoughts on the importance of family photography

I believe there is never the perfect timing in anything in life: when you want to build a family,  have a sibling for your little one,  when you want to move or renovating your house.  Same for a photography session:  there will be never the perfect time to do it.  You wait until you have more time, or when you are not too busy or after you have lost a few pounds ore your hair looks perfect. Or simply it’s never a good time to be in front of the camera.

I understand, but you’ll regret it if you wait too long!

Don’t overthink and do it for your kids! You want them to remember you, how you are with them,  you want them to remember your unique expressions and your relationship as a family. This will change, so save it.  Each of you will recall that particular moment looking at that image because you have lived that moment together.  And that day would be otherwise forgotten, wouldn’t it?

Don’t wait,  Treasure these real moments forever.  Life is evolving fast and children grow quickly and we don’t realise! Or we do, but then it’s a bit too late.

Photos will stay with you forever. Record the siblings while they jump or play or even fight over a toy! Dad making funny jokes, or Mummy giving warm cuddles. or while she reads a favourite book.  It’s so important to remember these precious days, the ones of childhood that we all remember with a smile.

I guarantee you’ll fill your heart with emotions when you stop for a moment and look at your pictures on your wall.  Priceless.

I’m posting some of my children photos here and the last one has been taken from the talented Nicky Christoforou at Family Life photography.  Being a photographer myself,  It’s rare to appear in photos so I needed someone taking some photographs of me with my family.  And here I am, with my kids, on the sofa, on an ordinary day watching TV.  I’m so glad I did a family session and I’ll treasure it forever.
